Andrea Zacher, aka Crashy Brown, class of 1982
I live in Darien, CT with my patient husband of 25 years, Clint Brown. We have a ’14 daughter, a son at Skidmore ’18, and a soon to be ’19 daughter.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, where my Navy dad nicknamed me “Crash Bang” or Crashy, for being rambunctious in my pre-natal stage, I grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio and attended Laurel School. Visiting Dartmouth in a late April snowstorm I was stunned by all the happy, welcoming faces. I was an art history major, did LSA in Siena, Italy and travelled the world on Semester at Sea. After graduation, I attended the Gemological Institute of America, in NYC, to start my career in the jewelry business. I still love commuting to 47th Street, three to five days a week, to work at my business partnership of 30+ years, Zwikker & Zacher, Ltd.
Things I am passionate about: family & friends, helping others, travel, Women of Dartmouth, live music, a good sense of humor, Women of Dartmouth, hot yoga
Guilty pleasures: chocolate mousse, Fritos, Family Feud, Broad City (irreverent comedy), Scandal show-verdosing, pong…
I joined the Centennial Circle because Dartmouth was the smartest decision I ever made and it has never stopped improving my life.
